Advanced Picture 3

This tutorial will teach you how to retouch your images.

Open up the picture you want to use, i will be using this image:

 

To start off, you want to get rid of all the rough lines on the image. So click the retouch tool. You should now see a tool options bar open on the left side of the screen. Set your settings like mine:


Now go to your image, and use the effect over forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. It's optional to use the effect on the arms and neck as well. DO NOT use this effect on the eyes, lips or even hair. The image should now look like this:

It doesn't look like a big difference yet, but when you are finished with it. It will.

Next you need to change your settings to sharpen. leave the rest of the settings the same. Now go over the eyes and lips with this effect. The image should now look like this:

Now duplicated your background layer, and on your copy of background layer settings click overlay


Do you see the change in your image? You don't have to choose the overlay setting if you don't want to. Try experimenting :)


You can finish here or you can enhance your image even more by adding brushes, more effects or even changing the hair and eye colour. This is my final product:
