Polaroids

a How-To tutorial. This is a tutorial that can help you design your blends and layouts. It's actually really nice!

Open up the image you wish to make a Polaroid of. I will be using this picture:

To make a polaroid is really easy! Now all you need to do is resize the image to make it in to a square and add borders to it. But make sure that before you make it into a polaroid, you want to edit your image first. Once you have that let's start making it in to a polaroid! :) Make sure that your colour palette is looking like this though:

The top colour should be white while the bottom colour is a medium grey. You need this because you will be adding 2 borders.

Now go to image>add borders. you should see a pop-up window in front of you looking like this:

Click OK.

You should now see a grey border around your image.

Alright, now switch the colours on your colour palette. Your white should now be at the bottom while the medium grey is at the top. To do this click on the arrow between the two colours.

Good. Now, again, go to image>add borders and when the pop-up window comes up change the settings to match mine:

Symmetric should be un-clicked, change the top, left and right to 4. Change bottom to 35.

Your Polaroid should now be looking like this:

Now switch back your colours on your colour palette. The grey should be at the bottom and the white at the top. Once again go to image>add borders. but instead check off Symmetric and change the settings to 1. So your image should now look like this:

You can finish here if you want to, but to make it look a bit more realistic add small x brushes on to the bottom! Now you're done! :D
